What is GRE Exam

The full form of the GRE is the Graduate Record Examination.  It is a standard test required for admission to master’s programs in prestigious international universities.

Such students who want to complete their master’s degree by going abroad after graduation, give this exam.

 Through this exam, the candidates are selected through a skill test which is divided into 3 categories –

  1. Verbal Reasoning
  2. Quantitative Reasoning
  3. Analytical Writing 

GRE test is conducted in both online and offline mode.In this exam, questions are asked from two types of subjects a Test and General Test.  About whose syllabus we will discuss in detail below.

GRE Exam Pattern 2023

Questions are asked from 3 parts in the GRE General Test – 

  1. Analytical Writing

This exam is computer-based in the first section, for which you are given 60 minutes. On the other hand, the exam of the second section is paper-based, for that also you are given 60 minutes.

  1. Verbal Reasoning

This exam is taken in 2 sections, in which 40 questions are asked. For which 60 minutes time is given, which is computer-based. The same paper-based exam is also done in two sections.  

In which a total of 50 questions are asked.  For which 70 minutes is given.

  1. Quantitative Reasoning

In this, questions of 40 marks each are asked in two sections. For which you are given 70 minutes, which is computer-based. The same two sections are such that 50 questions are asked for which you are given 80 minutes.

  5. In Analytical Writing try to find out the given issue or point of argument.
  6. In the writing section, look at the assumptions made by the author and analyze them.
  7. Avoid making unnecessary calculations in reasoning.
  8. Try to make the equation of the question simple.
  9. Memorize the formula to increase your speed.
  10. Keep controlling your studies.
  11. Make sure to have a routine for success in the GRI exam.
  12. The things which are difficult to remember must be read again and again so that things can be remembered quickly.
