What is B.ed

The full form of B.ED is Bachelor of Education.  Similarly people do a 4-year B.Ed course after passing class XII, in which we are also given the course of B.Ed along with the studies of graduation.  Most of the people do this course to become a teacher at the senior secondary level.

 At the same time, there are some people who do a B.Ed course in a 2-year tenure after completing their 3-year graduation.  After doing a B.Ed course, candidates have a lot of opportunities to make a career in the teaching field.

 After doing the B.Ed course, any candidate can become a teacher by passing the examinations conducted at the institute level in private schools or government schools.

 The examinations for B.Ed course are usually conducted in the month of June or July and its academic session starts from the month of August or September.

The New Education Policy was introduced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on 29 July 2020.  According to which the examinations for B.Ed will now be conducted by NTA. 

Simultaneously merit based scholarship will also be provided to the candidates interested in 4-year Integrated B.Ed.

Eligibility for B.ed

Generally, most people want to do B.Ed course to become a teacher, in such a situation it is very important for them to know that it is necessary to have important qualifications for doing B.Ed course, which is as follows-

  1. First of all, it is mandatory for the applicant to pass class XII from all recognized schools.
  2.  For BEd entrance exam, candidates must have passed graduation in any stream with at least 50 to 55% marks.
  3.  Arts, Commerce or Science related candidates can choose their specialization on the basis of their graduation course.
  4.  There is no age limit prescribed in most of the B.Ed colleges.
  5.  The applicant must have the interest to become a teacher.
